The speaker is electrically connected to the PCB by the wires.Open all the screws to expose the underlayment.If you need to open the speaker, now you need to loosen the 4 screws that hold the speaker in place. Now, detach both passive radiators into two different sides.Insert the tip of the plastic opening tool into the screw holes and press upwards.They have two clips that keep them in place. These speakers are on both ends of the JBL Flip 5. This will discrete the colored rubber spine from the speaker. Push the tool under the clips and lift it upwards.With the clips now opened, use the plastic opening tool to open them.The spine is made of strong, soft plastic, and it is the central part of the book which is kept together by rubber strips.There are two screws to remove from the back of the rubber spine.It’s easiest to open the screws using a Philips screwdriver.It is attached by 4 screws, 2 on either side.
